Guest guest
To find out about candida die-off symptoms just google HEIXHEIMER REACTION and you can find out. -------------- Original message -------------- My doctor says I have candida and is treating me with probiotics. I think I am experiencing die off. My anxiety is very high and not sleeping. Wondering if this is contributing to my insomnia. Guest guest
You may want to get some activated charcoal to absorb the die off and helps the liver remove the toxins. Just take it two hours before and or after anything else. In the middle of the night if you wake up is a great time to take it. From: skg59@... Guest guest
It's Herxheimer, not Heixheimer. Troy Re: Candida Die Off To find out about candida die-off symptoms just google HEIXHEIMER REACTION and you can find out.
Guest guest
I have never heard of a yeast die off being called a herxheimer. That term applies to Lyme and syphilis. A yeast die-off is something different. Lyme hides in cells and when it is killed by antibiotics, it can no longer hide and one has a huge allergic-type reaction from the dead pieces of bugs that overwhelm the body. -- Re: Candida Die Off It's Herxheimer, not Heixheimer. Guest guest
You can read about die off and its relation to the herxheimer reaction here: http://www.holistichelp.net/candida-die-off.html > > I have never heard of a yeast die off being called a herxheimer. Guest guest
I read it. Thanks for sending that link. I believe herxheimer is being misused by the author of that article. Lyme bug death, causes the bugs to now be recognized by the body as an allergen and becomes an irritant as syphilis does, to the body. Lyme releases toxins when it is alive. Candida releases toxins when it dies. The dead particles and bodies of lyme or syphilis trigger an immune reaction which is allergic in nature. In fact, one can cause a lot of damage from the herx. Lyme docs now tell patients to stop treatment and even start steroids, to avoid the damage from the herx. I don't like that herx is now being used to describe a similar but different reaction in candida. The difference is that with candida, anyone who has a die-off with have toxins released. With a herx, only those that have specific infections, will have a herx reaction to certain antibiotics. If one does not have syphilis or borellia (lyme) then when one takes antibiotics for infections, they will improve with no herx. For people with lyme and syphillis, having a herx does not necessarily mean they will or are getting better, it just means the bacteria is not exposed to the immune system, since they hide in cell components and evade detection from immune cells. I am not meaning to be arguementative. Since I have Lyme and have had many herxes as well as have had die-offs from candida, it is a very different reaction in seriousness and how ill one feels. Herxs can be incapacitating and deadly. So the writer of the article is missleading a bit. -- Re: Candida Die Off > > It's Herxheimer, not Heixheimer. > > Troy > > Re: Candida Die Off > > To find out about candida die-off symptoms just google HEIXHEIMER REACTION > and you can find out. > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Well, I have Dr. Hotze's book on optimal eating, and that's what he calls die-off, the Herxheimer Reaction: http://www.physicianspreference.com/store/product/630/Hotze-Optimal-Eatin g-Cookbook/ In the book he recommends this product: http://www.physicianspreference.com/store/product/515/Neutra-Tabs-%28360- mg%29-/ You can also take Alka-Seltzer Gold, but supposedly it's not quite as pure. However, along with the yeast-free eating and probiotics, he also recommends Nystatin and DiFlucan; take the tabs/ASG along with the Nystatin. I'm starting the drugs tomorrow for yeast, in addition to the hormones and everything else I've been doing. Oh, boy. . . Amy
Guest guest
Well, a herx originates from Syphilis treatment and is now specific to Lyme. For example, if you take IV rocephin for a systemic infection, you will feel better quickly. However, if you take it for Lyme or syphilis, you will become very ill for a time. That is the nature of a herx. Only happens with certain bacteria, specifically spirochetes. -- Re: Candida Die Off Well, I have Dr.
