Thank you. For one doctor I used he only wanted the name, date and on the

same line. The way you give is what I learned when I took Medical

Assisting but again what the client wants is what we do. I will go ahead

and use this one you gave and I learned and having already put a call in

to her re a subscription to Little Blue Book I will verify it with her

then.

AS TO LITTLE BLUE BOOK: Do you all utilize these? I guess if you are

doing a national account they would not be helpful but when you are doing

local accounts I think they are a necessity. In this same letter, which

doctor spelled everything but the street name of a doctor and his name

(in the body of the letter) I went to the Internet and found nothing

under the group he belonged . I had no idea how she was spelling his last

name as it was not the 'typical' American sounding name. So...

I went to the phone book which of course did not list podiatrists in the

body of the Physicians/Surgeons or in a category of Podiatrist. Finally I

found at the end of the physicians listing under Surgeon/Podiatrist. All

of this could have been avoided if I had a local (county) listing like

the Little Blue Book. Problem is it costs 15. and you have to order 3.

Again this was what it was 5 years ago when I worked in another county.

Doctors in this area seem to be always moving and our local Internet or

phone listing is not updated.

Thanks for all your help.

That's how I am required to do it.

This is the first time I had to type a letter that went into the 2nd

page. This doctor has her picture as part of the letterhead and it takes

up a lot of room but even with that I always was able to fit the entire

letter on the first page.

Is there a set pattern for typing a second page. How do you all do it. Do

you just type Page 2 with the patient's name on top or under the date?

I will probably call her and ask her wishes but just wondered what you

all do.

Thanks.

Thanks to all who helped me with this. Doctor used the Name, Date and

page # sample. Again, thank you.
