Hi ,

Is the Synthroid at the same mcg? Is the one that you are taking

newer? If so why not use the closer to expirey date one and put the

others away and use after. Most pills will lose a part of their

potency after a certain time period but you still have some time to

use several of them. If I remember right you are having some

problems with taking these things, so, if it was me I would act on

the side of caution and take them before the expirey date.

Hi ,

I don't think that one month will make much differace. 6 months

might... Just store them somewhere cool, maybe not the refrigerator,

just somewhere that is not damp and is cool.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I went to the doc after one month

on 25mcgs of S. My blood work is starting to show improvement but he

said and I agree that I must increase much more. He knows the

difficulty that I had with Armour so he said to take 50 mcgs for a

week and then go to 100. I have a box that is unopened with 75mcgs

of S. He is somewhat leaving it up to me as to how fast I get up to

100. I have a pill cutter. So today I took my 25mcgs plus 1/4 of the

75. If I handle that ok I will go to 50 a day in the next couple of

days. By the way, just being on 25 for a month my total cholesterol

went from 310 to 266. Hopefully it will keep coming down. Also, I am

hoping my sleep will improve as well.

Did it give the ranges?

Even without them... the Free T4 is too low and the TSH is too high... you need to increase the dose.... but I asked you this question this morning... remind me... how long you've been on this dose?

You need to be on the same dose for at least 4 to 6 weeks for the tests to be accurate.... and I have a tickle in the back of my brain that says you just recently started???

Okay, now I am responding to my own posts LOL...

I just got a copy of my lab results in the mail today? Obviously someone sent them before I asked for them today. Which is a good thing ......curiosity was about to kill the cat.

Okay what numbers should I post? I see:

Free T4 0.79

TSH serum 17.33

Anything else?

Thanks in advance,

Ayla
