Guest guest
Hi Donna, Yes...that is my feeling too about the Iressa. Can't say that I have heard much ANYONE with CC getting a response from this. But, I mention for those who want to leave " no stone unturned " ... The really important thing at this point is the quality of life. I fully understand where Rick is coming from on the " no more implants! " , don't think I would care for pumps and such myself, unless really convinced they are needed. I suppose there are still a few other avenues though...the SIR spheres for example (even though I know your doc at MDA doesn't like them!), and there is also chemoembolization (a " one shot " deal, but this seems to have fallen out of favor lately. Many oncs don't see sufficient efficacy to warrent the procedure). Hope the Xeloda dose increase can help...and that you guys have a great holiday season! Best Wishes, > > , I asked about using Iressa and he basically said they really > haven't had very good results from that. Only about 17% response in > Lung cancer and not that good on Colon.
