Guest guest
, Congrats!! I'm so excited for you!! I know what you mean about the playful child. tries to jump on me and everything else... especially around my stomach. That's where I have to guard anytime she gets really hyper-- as far as her elbows... she likes to lay on top of me w/ her face in her hand which means I have an elbow sticking me somewhere... Oh... the bruises I have!! LOL But she is so adorable when she does all of it (she doesn't intend to hurt) that I'd rather have the bruises than her change her personality. ) Anyway... there I go rambling again... Again, congrats on the pg and I'm so glad to see you post!! ) Amy 14w 3d Just a hello! Hi all! Some of you may remember me from EP. I've been in a kind of baby-limbo for quite some time. I found out last year that there was no way (barring a medical miracle) we were getting pg with my remaining tube. We looked into IVF but things didn't start to get rolling till this year. After many injections and a retrieval procedure that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, ("moderate discomfort" my hiney) I have happy news to report. Guessed it yet? Yeppers, I'm finally pg! Tomorrow (Monday) I have my first U/S. I'm pretty sure there is only one because my first HCG was 35 but tomorrow will say for sure (I hope). I'm still a little stunned but it has definately sunk in. I had forgotten how wonderfully tender two body parts got. I have to constantly guard them whenever my almost four year old gets near. Couldn't tell you the number of times I got elbowed. That'll perk you right up! After a while, the ole reflexes kick in and that arm shoots right up before she gets you again. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining at all. I never thought I would get to this point after everything that's happened. I just feel sad for all the other people that tried IVF and it didn't work. I know we're very fortunate that it worked. According to the dr, we had a 40% chance of them taking since we only put in two. I explained to the kind dr that I had no intention of putting in more than I can handle. Well, X-Files is on in a few minutes so I'll get going. I'll try to catch back up with everyone soon. Take care, (from St. Louis in case there's another in the group)
