Guest guest
well my menu changes daily.... breakfast i usually just have a glass of water. and if i get up in time b4 school i'll have some bacon and eggs, lunch..my choices are extremely limited due to school food, so i usually jsut take the meat off of a hamburger and eat that along with a small side salad, and a bottle of water, dinner usually consists of either Chicken or fish, with usually 3 diff veggies. usually like broccoli, Peas, and sometimes asparagus or something like that
Guest guest
My advice would be to be patient. We don't all lose at a great pace. (I lost 1/10th of a pound last week.) Maybe you should post your menus to the list so we can see if you are eating carbs you're not counting. Also, there are many so-called stallers, so maybe we can pinpoint one of those in your menus. 249.5/206.8/135LC since 6/26/00http://www.geocities.com/rhiannon828/index.htm
Guest guest
You should be drinking at least 9 glasses of water a day for your weight - more if you are exercising. That could be holding you back some. How about sending in some menus of what exactly you are eating. We might be able to point out some potential trouble spots for you Kirstie
Guest guest
I went almost 6 months with no cheating or what ever and didn't lose a thing! BUT--- it finally started again. You have to keep with it. Keep reminding yourself that this is *not* a diet to lose a few pounds, but it *IS* the way youu will eat for the rest of your life. You said you " don't eat hardly any carbs " and that you are drinking 6 glasses of water a day. First of all... you *NEED* (emphisis, not yelling LOL) carbs. You should have been having 20g a day during the induction period and increase it slightly during OWL. As for water, you need to be drinking at least 64 ounces *PLUS* 8 extra ounces for every 25 pounds you are trying to lose. (and some say an extra 8 ounces for every cup of soda, coffee, tea etc) If you would care to post a day or two of everything you eat, drink, chew etc I am sure the list would be glad to help you out. --- Peach07930@... wrote: > ok im getting knida sick of this. im really not losing ANY weight. well i > mean i lsot 4 pounds the first week, ( 164) but now ive been holding steady > at 160 for the past 2 weeks! i drink 6 glasses of water a day, and i dont eat > > hardly any carbs or anything. and i do 30 minutes on the treadmill everyday. > you would think the weight would be FLYING off, but NO!!! someone > help!!!!!!!!!!!!! > ===== Kathy __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Peas aren't a low-carb veggie - that could be a problem! Depending on the total number of veggies you are eating, your carbs could be very easily 30-40 a day. Are you measuring what you are eating and looking it up in a carb counter? Sometimes just being really aware of how much we are actually eating helps. I find that I always guesstimate my veggies at being '1 cup' - however, when I measure them, I am always disappointed at how small 1 cup actually is! How about trying to figure out some things you can have cooked up ahead of time that you can grab for your breakfast on your way out the door. Part of the reason breakfast is great is that eating several small meals a day helps boost our metabolism - you get to lose weight without trying. The longer you go without eating, the more your body will lower your metabolism to conserve energy. Maybe having some hardboiled eggs on hand or cooking up extra bacon so you can put some into baggies for quick going. Protein shakes are pretty quick too Kirstie
Guest guest
Kathy> I'm so glad you posted that you went 6 months without losing, and then started losing. I have been been about that long without losing, although I have bounced a little lower the last couple of weeks. But I have been 170-174 for the past 6 months. It's frustrating, but I refuse to give up. I guess I have sort of resigned myself to a WOL and so, in reality, it doesn't matter how slowly it comes off - just so it doesn't go back up. So, I'm in it for the long haul . . but I was really glad to see your post because it does give me inspiration. Guest guest
I'm glad I could be an inspiration to someone.... I have had so many people from this list that have inspired me, I'm just glad I could actually help someone else! Have you tried the green tea? I have lost down to 264.5 from 272.5 since Jan 29. The tea is the only thing I have changed. (I do the Arizona in the bottle)coincidence? hmmmm. --- Henri wrote: > Kathy> > > I'm so glad you posted that you went 6 months without losing, and then > started losing.
