Guest guest
You'll notice that they almost never check back with these folks 6 months later. Only a lucky few (< 5%) won't regain that weight, with a few extra pounds as a bonus. > > Hey all, I've been out for quite a while, long > vacation and such. Guest guest
I applaude you for being able to SEE that this was happening to you. I can't believe that Oprah still doesn't GET IT - Diets don't WORK - they are at best temporary reversals without a real 'cure'. That is so hard to remember when the world around us whispers, cries, SHOUTS diet diet diet until one can't think straight. GOOD for you to keep your head when all the world is loosing theirs ;-) ehugs, Katcha > > Hey all, I've been out for quite a while, long > vacation and such. Guest guest
Oh don't get me started on Oprah. I had Bob Greene's " Best Life Diet " book. Load of crapola, but Oprah wrote something to the extent that ALL overweight people are just mental cases who need to get their heads on straight because that's what it was for her and if you see her regain weight it's because " she hasn't gotten it together " . Or some thing. Anyone who likes food or eats for pleasure is " mental " . If you can't lose the weight you want then you're weak. I'm summarizing here. Obviously. Interesting because Ms.Oprah came out a few weeks ago claiming hypothyroidism as the cause of her 20lb regain. How convenient. > > I applaude you for being able to SEE that this was happening to you. Guest guest
Yeah, it's like the " Biggest Loser " show, they had one a while back that brought back some of the previous winners - ALL of them had put some of the weight back on, and this is while there's NATIONAL attention focused on them - EVERYONE knows they were a " biggest loser.
