Guest guest
Evening. For those who are asking about surgerys heres another story. I had decompression in Jan. of 1998. I had the surgery late thursday morning and was in icu until Sunday evening. I only came to once and that was for about 5 seconds. I was on the ward for 6 more days. I had staples and a bovine membraine. Got up for the bathroom the second day on the ward with assistance. As all women know that lifting the butt to get the bedpan under is a chore much less the pain to the back of the head trying to lift. Sorry guys. As sombody said I am old enough to say things like that(57). I was able to take a shower on the third day with help. After that I did pretty good. Was able to walk the halls with help. The 6th day the nsg was going to release me to a nursing home but my gp put his foot down and told them to let me go home. I was living by my self but learned to let things go . Very hard as I had always been spotless. About 6 months ago things started getting real bad. Have been trying since Dec. to get an appointment with the nsg thaat did the surgery. I go in this Tuesday for a cscan on my left lung. The dr. thinks there is a mass there. This has really got me scared As I already have two forms of terminal cancer and lupus and our good friend Chiari.Misery loves company. I told my oldest daughter today and she said that if they can fix it she wants to know about it, but if they can't she doesn't. I feel the same way. Well they say that God gives us only what we can handle and I think He got me mixed up with someone else. This has gone on longer then I had planned. Good night to you all and all my love and prayers go with this post. Lou
