Guest guest
I noticed a funny thing at work. There were some imported truffles on the break table at work, and my naturally skinny friend was enjoying one. She exclaimed, " These truffles are so good! Oh my gosh, they just melt in your mouth! " The next day, the truffles were still there and I was on break with one of my overweight coworkers. She was drinking a diet snapple. She reached for a truffle and said " Oh these are so bad! " Then she reached for another and said " Just one more won't hurt. " Then she had ANOTHER and said " So bad, but so good! " I said, " They're not bad! They're awesome! " It was interesting for me to observe the difference in attitudes between someone who is naturally thin and someone who is overweight. I'm not trying to stereotype all thin or overweight people, but it seems that the naturally slim person was able to enjoy a piece of chocolate and really appreciate it and be satisfied. On the other hand, the overweight girl did not really get a chance to enjoy the chocolate because she was feeling guilty over it...just thought it was interesting to observe. Guest guest
that is a great example of how diet thinking works against us. It's fascinating to watch once you see through the glitter to what is really going on. But so sad to see how it has hurt so many people. > > I noticed a funny thing at work.
