Guest guest
I joined this list over the summer but it was a very intense semester (I'm 41, have 4 kids age 12,5,3 and 3, work full time, and am working on my PhD in the genetics of cancer) ... so I've had no time to post for a while! I got an 'A' in both of my classes which was unexpected but nice I did manage to stay away from the diet mentality - I simply have no time to " waste " on worrying about my diet - what I just ate, what I'm going to eat, how I feel about what I eat, blah blah blah ... so in a sense I was eating intuitively LOL. Actually just not worrying about " being on a diet " , I think I ate better food than when I worry about it But I also wasn't able to exercise more than once-twice a week at best (except for speed-walking 6-10 blocks a day to class!), so I am horribly out of shape and have gained about 5 lbs and all my clothes are tight So, I'm baaacck I'm unhappy that here is it New Year's 2008 and I'm back to the old weight I was at the beginning of 2006 (I lost 15 lbs in 2006 before starting school), but I am NOT going to slip back into the diet nightmare - I'm going to get back into INTUITIVE EATING and stop eating past fullness, and I'm very eager to get back into shape - I really miss feeling fit. I'm debating whether or not to keep an IE journal, because I'm not sure if it'll trigger diet mentality, but I think it would be good to at least keep an exercise journal because I love seeing my progress as I get back in shape... anyway, just saying hello again, and hope to jump back into posting too!
