Guest guest
I know I've mentioned before that i thought I had a better IE day when I load up with fat in the morning. I had a very noticable demonstration that this is absolutely true a couple of days ago. I have been having fun with my sprouter, and had lots of sprouted lentils. I really was craving those lentils. I had a bit of insomnia, and while I was lying there awake, i was thinking of what I could do with them. Lentil soup? Curried? I finally decided on some kind of lentils and brown rice thing (I love brown rice, too). I looked up a arecipe and made it for lunch. It was very good and just the thing I wanted. However, it made two servings - I ate one, and didn't feel a thing - so I ate the other. Still didn't feel like i'd had 'enough'. These were not small servings, either. So the volume was there - but something was missing. So, I went on and raided the cookies and chocolates. That didn't feel right either, something was still missing, but at least I felt volume now. But the rest of the day I overate. It took me a while before it finally 'clicked' in my measly brain. it was the lack of fat. I, apparently, 'require' a good supply of fat. Maybe it's still making up for the low fat years, or maybe my body is working so hard to balance my hormones and deal with stress and using up all the fats I can give it to make the hormones, whatever - it is - I'm listening to it. Guest guest
I think fat is really satisfying! It doesn't take much of the super greasy foods I eat (pizza, chicken tenders, french fries, bacon cheeseburgers) to fill me up. I'm satisfied with a quite a little. I totally know what you mean about those low fat foods making you feel " volume full " but not really full...It's more of a bloated, gassy full when I fill up on big portions of those things. Not a soft, light, satiated feeling.... > > I know I've mentioned before that i thought I had a better IE day when I load up with fat in > the morning. Guest guest
Yes, exactly! Everyone is always saying how they feel 'heavy' after eating fat - but i feel energetic - and much more comfortable because I feel full and satisfied without the volume. and I don't think about food for hours and hours - when I had that low fat meal - I kept migrating back to the kitchen all day! >
