Guest guest
-Barb L.- Do you know what tests they ran? A lot of doc's don't know what they're doing when it comes to diagnosing Lupus. Look for ANA results, they are most indicative if very elevated. I also had a very high CRP(C-reactive protein). If I were you I'd treat my own fever with ibuprophen, at least you'll feel a little better--don't let someone tell you to just suffer through it. Hang in there and welcome to the group. -- In LUPIES , " Barbara Ladd " <bladd@h...> wrote: > Hello again! > > I am Barbara Ladd (new to the group) and have been waiting diagnosis for Lupus. I have had this Dr. for years and have ALWAYS had confidence but I'm afraid I'm not going to be a very good patient when I go in on the 25th. > THIS IS NOT IN MY HEAD! Guest guest
Barb, That's the price a Dr pays for not being a good Dr.!!!! I'm in a Drs. SUCK mode! They are the most incompassionate people in the world sometimes. If they don't understand it they blame it on weight or stress. What they don't understand is they ARE the stress! NO it is NOT in your head! It gets tiring sometimes but you can not give up being your own advocate! If you do they will have you believeing your are a certifiable looney and a hypochondriac! Sometimes you have to look for another Dr who will believe in you and work with you! Always remember you employ them.......you are their boss! Hope this helps! Love, Becky but I'm afraid I'm not going to be a very good patient when I go in on the 25th. THIS IS NOT IN MY HEAD! Any advice or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much! Guest guest
Hi Barb, I'm new to the group too. Everything you said sounds EXACTLY like what I've been going through over the last 10 months. My doctor also said just let it run it's course, whatever is wrong with me will go away soon. I've just started going through all the testing I need, so I need to wait and see what comes back. So far, I've had no luck with my doctor, but I guess we just have to be insistent. Good luck when you go back to the doctor! Annmarie Help! Hello again!
