Um, I completely understand about being bored at work! I just graduated college

so this is

my first job. Is being bored/without a lot to do considered normal at work?

Good job on not snacking when you have nothing to do on the job. I know I want

to snack a

lot too out of boredom; I always try to ask myself if I'm actually hungry, etc.

It really does

seem to help.

I think that varies on what kind of job you have. I'm rarely bored -

my at work challenge will start in high gear any day now - the endless

gift baskets from vendors we contract. The 5lb bag of pistachios

shows up every year around this time, and nuts are my absolute

favorite food. But this year, I should be able to eat what I want and

move on without guilt.

Ah, yes, the grass is always greener on the other side, isn't it!

I have given up the excitement of a luxurious position in order to be close to home where I can keep a close eye on my 14 yr old son. The hours work, it's close to home, it pays the bills and it's a low stress job. Being a single Mom, this is the sacrifice I have had to make for my son and for my peace of mind. No, I would not say it's the normal.
