Guest guest
, I can't even imagine how incredible that must have been. And a baby boy (or so it seems)!! How happy you must be just to know it's healthy. I only got to see the heartbeat and I was completely blown away, so seeing the skeletal system must be just amazing. is so funny, guess it is a male thing. Glad to hear things are going well for you and family!! Dana 10 weeks

Pam, I don't know how accurate the tech was, that's the confusing part. All she said was " there it is " and wouldn't answer any of my questions. The u/s portion of my doctor's practice is actually controlled by Hospital so the hospital dictates what the tech's can do. Supposably they are not allowed to relay any information regarding the sex of the baby. While we saw something that looked like it could be a penis, I may be seeing it incorrectly. We're planning on doing a Level 2 u/s so, hopefully, I should know positively by then. maria
Guest guest
Thanks , I'm not sure how definite the "boy" part is, but it was a lot of fun!!!! maria Re: Doctor's appt. maria, so happy that your appt went well and the baby(he?!) is going great!! lisa r
Guest guest
Hi! C-section, due to the size of his penis!??....go figure where that came from!! Men! Sounds pretty + that you are having a boy!! Congrats! I am so glad things are going so well!! Seeing the u/s must of been so cool!! Take care, mommy! ep 12-00 7wk2d > Hi Everyone, > Sorry I haven't had a chance to post sooner, we got in really late last night. Our doctor's appointment was amazing! The baby now has bones! We saw the skeletal system, it was so incredible! I can't believe the development in 6 days (last ultrasound). The baby was very active. The tech asked if we wanted to see the sex of the baby - of course!!!! We looked between its legs and she said " there it is. " It looked like a little penis sticking out, when I asked if that meant it's a boy, she just smiled and didn't say anything. Hopefully we'll be able to see better at our next ultrasound. > > was so excited! He kept saying we would need an emergency C-section due to the size of the penis! I think the male ego was running on overdrive! I couldn't believe he said that in front of the tech, I guess it's a guy thing! > > We actually pushed my injections back to 4 days! I'm so excited about that because I'm really starting to feel like a pin cushion. I think I anticipate every shot now and completely tense up. I've definitely had enough!!!! Luckily I was able to get out of doing bloodwork for the OB today. > > maria > 13w 3d

I'm still questioning whether we saw it right, hopefully our next u/s will fully confirm it in my mind! maria
Guest guest
> Congrats on the boy! I didn't realize they could even see any thing that > early, I guess because all my ultrasounds were at 20 weeks....maybe it > is just his spectacular size!! (wink wink) sounds really > excited! I'm glad you appt went well and you get to have less > injections! Take care, Hi Vicki, I read in the Pregnancy Book that they can sometimes see the sex of the male baby as early as 12 weeks. We've been very fortunate and have had u/s every 2 weeks, and more often in the case of emergencies, I don't know what I'll do when I'm released to my OB. Biweekly u/s are so addicting. The change in development is amazing. If anyone's interested, I can make a folder of the pictures, so you can see the development. is a riot! The funniest part is that deep down, he was serious!!!!! maria
Guest guest
, I would love to see the u/s pictures and how the baby has changed. I am always looking up ultrasound pictures on the web. That would be so cool!! Dana 10 weeks
Guest guest
Dana, Give me a couple days, I have to hook my scanner back up (unhooked it because I moved my office to a different room). I'll send it to your home email. The difference is amazing! maria Re: Doctor's appt. , I would love to see the u/s pictures and how the baby has changed.
