Guest guest
Sounds like you got a lot done. WTG. Did you sleep well? Are you done re-arranging? Tuna busy busy busy Since the four of us will be staying in this 900 sq ft apt for another year we decided to do some rearranging and make ourselves some more space. I have been cleaning & de-cluttering for 2 weeks now in preparation. I took 6 full garbage bags to the GoodWill drop-off, gave a back-seat full of baby things back to the friend I borrowed them from, and half-filled a dumpster. Today was Moving Day. Mat took Mikey to speech, and I pulled our beds and nightstands out into the living room. I had planned to vacuum but Gabe became frantic, and the vacuum bag got full anyway, and we didn't have another one. So I did other things till Matt got home, had him sweep the carpet with a broom (it needed it) and took the boys out & ran errands. When we got back, we moved the computer desk, my sewing table, the rat cage, the boys' little table and chairs and their computer, and all the toys from the living room into the former Master Bedroom. This is now the computer/play room. No more toys in the living room! All right, all right, except what the boys drag out there. But hopefully this will help keep the living room looking a bit nicer, and give the boys space out there to run around in, instead of the floor being too covered wtih toys to be able to do anything. The beds and night stands went into the former computer room. Our two dressers stayed in here; the tall dresser is holding the computer towers etc. out of the children's reach. *cross fingers* And the long short dresser just wouldn't fit in the other room. The boys share a small dresser & that was & is in the former computer room/now our bedroom. actually did very very well. He had a medium-sized fit when he saw all the furniture in the living room and tried to push the mattresses back down the hall. But once we got all the toys moved back here, he and Gabe came back and played and had a great time. He would not lie down in the bed to go to sleep tonight, but he did go to sleep easily in Matt's arms and then let himself be put in his bed. (His bed is right next to ours - we have a queen and a twin pushed together and we all sleep on it. We are encouraging Mikey to fall asleep in, and sleep through the night in, the twin, in preparation for moving him into his own bed. Eventually.) I am very excited about having a living room floor again. And I am extremely pleased that I was able to get so much done!!! I mean, two weeks ago I was a walking zombie, and now here I am moving furniture all day. No Zoloft since Saturday and no withdrawl symptoms. Although I *was* a bit crabby today (Matt says, " Really, honey? I didn't notice. " ) but I think I am ovulating for the first time in 2 years, so that may be why... And speaking of crabby, I need to go to bed. Just too wound up from the busy day to sleep...Took some melatonin & here I will go try again. G'night! -Sara.
