I posted Monday that Sunday I started into a decline that I was afraid was going to be a flare. I have rested every chance, sedated heavily at night, and I'm starting to come out of it. Looks like I averted the flare. Whoosh! (wipes hand across forehead)!I realized that I was getting better when I stopped sleeping again last night. For some reason I sleep well when I'm at my worst, and don't sleep much at all when things are a bit easier. Go figure! Thanks for the encouraging words when I was on my way down. They really helped ease the slide. Now I just have to try and climb all the way out of that hole!Hope everyone is feeling better today."The LUPIES Store" Come check out our store...http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies"The LUPIES Web Page"http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html"The LUPIES online photo albums!" Actually, it makes sense. Your body knows it needs the rest and there is no

better way of recharging than sleep.

Good for you and hopefully you'll be able to avert all your future flares

that way.

I know I need my sleep. My normal night's sleep is at least 8 hours, but

that's if I can nap for at least 1 hour during daytime. If I don't get that

nap I need at least 9 to 10 hours during night. It's not always easy, but I

try to stick to it. It's was worse when I was on 40mg of prednisone for 6

months. At some point I was so high there was no way I could sleep. But

whenever it was time for chemo, it wiped me out for about a week and no

amount of prednisone could keep me up.

Take care of yourself.

Ouch! I'm glad my husband just went to fix beds for our grandkids and missed reading this one with me.
