Why I like SBD

Those who mentioned liking the whole foods approach to SBD. Me, too!

That's why I'm using SBD as inspiration for myself, even though I'm not

following it exactly (at my husband's urging, I'm waiting to see the doctor

first, and get her opinion).

I actually don't have problems with sugar cravings. And I gave up caffeine

as last year's new year's resolution (have been doing pretty well too!).

And since I don't feel a need to drop weight quickly, I decided to look at

Phase 2.

My main issue was that I used to eat fast food A LOT. As in, nearly every

meal. Now I'm eating more whole foods and hardly any processed ones, fast

food is a thing of the past, and I'm using Phase 2 as my inspiration/guide

for how to continue eating from here on out.

Today I didn't do so great, because I hadn't prepared ahead of time. I

ended up eating some bread early on today, and once again was absolutely

famished throughout the day. Stopped at the store on the way home to load

up on veggies, cheese, nuts, and other goodies (good for the SBD woe, that

is!). Then I cooked a nice dinner (the portobella pizza I just raved

about), and feel so much better.

I guess my point is that I just wanted to say it's amazing how even thought

I'm not following the SBD -exactly-, I totally see the benefits. I just

FEEL better since eating better foods and cutting out bad carbs, and I've

had a lot more energy, and I'm not hungry all the time. I'm really happy to

be changing the way I eat. This is so much better! I'm also happy to

report that I've discovered I actually like cooking! Who knew? I think

it's fun to eat stuff *I* made. I am always amazed that it actually tastes

good, haha!

Anyway. Didn't mean to go on and on, I just wanted to say it's great to be

noticing a difference in the way I feel, and it's nice to know eating whole

foods and healthy foods can be so beneficial.

Keep up the good work, everyone!
