Hi,

I have been trying out Cynomel (just started using it recently) and haven't

noticed much until this morning, when I absentmindedly took an extra half-tablet

after taking a tablet (25mcg) in the morning.

I just wanted to ask about what sort of dosing schedule would be appropriate for

someone who doesn't feel much of an effect when taking 12.5mcg twice a day but

definitely feels something after taking 35mcg within the span of an hour this

morning. I just want to keep feeling like I feel now (better than usual!).

(and I know you're supposed to take it 4x a day--I just haven't since I wasn't

sure how much I could tolerate in a day and I was afraid of it keeping me up at

night) also sorry I have not been able to figure this out from looking in the

archives.

what I notice from taking more Cynomel this morning:

I feel much more alive. I really felt a difference when it hit me, whereas I

haven't felt much before.

-My heart beat is steady without skipping beats for the first time I can

remember in my life! Normally, I have about 10 PVCs a minute, and my heart rate

is so irregular (due to the PVCs) that my boyfriend gets scared any time he

hears it.

-I feel more like I used to feel before I got sick with the tick-borne illnesses

and all. Not great - I still have shortness of breath and other tick-illness

symptoms, but definitely much better than I've felt in a while.

btw, my labs are

TSH (has ranged from 0.81 while I was using Iodoral to 1.5 or so when not, but

never above 2)

T4 5.7 (range 6.09-12.23)

total T3 145 (range 87-178)

Free T4 0.81 (range 0.55-1.12)

I have not for the life of me been able to measure my free T3--each time my

doctor would order the test it would get canceled, so I decided to go ahead and

try T3 because it will be a while before I can get another test done (I'm

out-of-state and can't use my insurance for the next month), but I will find a

good clinic and test it as soon as I'm back in Boston

RT3 was 220, sort of in the upper part of the range (I can't find this lab), but

I'm not sure that matters if I don't have free T3 measured

my ferritin was 24, but I started taking Floradix (is half a cup 2x a day a good

dose? that's what the bottle recommends--10mg ferrous gluconate 2x a day)

ASI (1, 4, 1, 1) but now I take 10-15mg HC/day and that's more than enough for

me--any more and I get blood sugar problems and stomach blubber

Thanks so much!
