How to: Taper From Stress-Dosing----VAL?

Hi Val,

After cutting out bad sugars and carbs, my BP and pulse have come down

significantly.

However today I had a day from hell, which seems to happen to me most Monday's.

Getting up at 6:30am vs. the 8:30am wakeup time of Saturdays and Sundays. I

have been

doing your suggested dosing schedule of 10/10/7.5/5 which doesn't really seem to

be

helping/hurting.

I did stress-dose an extra 40mgs today as a results, (i realize you suggest to

only double

your dose) but I still feel like I'm on too low a dose of cortisol. For some

reason I had a

pounding heart today, which I haven't really had since last week - probably

because I

didn't stress dose until too late in the day. I also took a week off from

trying to switch to

T3 meds, but tried again today - swapping 1/2 T3 pill for 1/2 Thyroid-S pill at

my 11am

and 3pm dose. Maybe that caused some of the heart pounding?? I was sure to

have some

cheese at nighttime to ward off any glycemic issues, like I've been trying to do

each night

as you suggest. My bp is 120/74 and pulse 93.

I'm now worried how to properly taper from this starting tomorrow. I will also

have a long

day of working 14 hours tomorrow (good times) so the fact that I'm still awake

at 2am PST

is a bit worrisome. I need to be up and functional in about 4 hours.

Please tell me what my dosing schedule will be tomorrow going forward the next

few days

so I can best handle this.

I'm going to try tracking my temps - but they are always low and stable - even

before I

started taking cortisol, so I never feel like that is the best way to monitor

dosing.

Thanks in advance,

SAMMIE
