I guess our bodies are working overtime growing these little babies! I feel so out of shape though! I can literally walk down stairs and be completely out of breath! I know you look forward to exercising again - doesn't it seem like forever since we've been able to be active?!? By the way, how was your DH's 40th Birthday party? Didn't you have a dinner at your house? I hope you didn't wear yourself out getting ready for it! If you're like me though, you probably did. I hope everything went really well and he had a great birthday! What kind of painting class are you taking? I love drawing and painting, but I'm not very good Good Luck at your Dr. appt. tomorrow! DH and I haven't had sex since I got pg either...I know it is so difficult for them, but I know the end result is worth it. We were recently given the green light to proceed, but we've chosen to wait until after the amnio. I know I'll be a nervous wreck the first time anyway! I'll be thinking of you today and hoping all goes well at your appt. Sorry you have the Dr. you don't like and I hope that she isn't the one on call when you go into labor! Let me know how it goes! Hi Elle, It really is a tough decision, I hope the conversation ended well. Fortunately there are different levels of Down's. We have a girl in our practice who has Down's Syndrome, she went to a special school for Down's kids (about an hour from here) and is currently taking college classes! I bought it mostly for exercising, but can certainly wear it poolside. And, I got a 2 piece that has the tank top. I really concentrated on comfort! I remember when I tried on the Small with the pillow, it wasn't as comfy and I was afraid my belly would stick out, so I opted for the Medium. Guest guest Posted May 7, 2001 Report Share Posted May 7, 2001 Elle The books I read said 18-22 to. I was talking to an ob/gyn I know and he said it could even be up to 24 weeks. I had my AFP test last Thursday. I am not sure how long it takes to get the results. I have been tossing and turning all night to. I read that you should sleep with a pillow between your legs. I wonder if that would help. I was going to ask you if you still pee a lot in the middle of the night. One of my books said that it should be going away now but I have not noticed a difference. I called the dr about the pain I am feeling. Its really not even a pain because I don't feel it all the time. It just feels like a pulled muscle. The nurse said it could even be gas and if it doesn't go away in a couple of days to call. I will ask at my dr appt tomorrow if its still bothering me. I also feel somewhat constipated today and wonder if it could be from that. We are going to this mini maternity fair tonight. Then there is a lecture on different kinds of birthing. That book sounds good...I need to get something like that for dp. He askedthe nurse at my appt on Friday, when we get to the 3rd trimester do theystart taking both of our blood pressures, just in case dad might develophigh blood pressure too! Ha Ha..funny guy! I think somene hear said that when you are small, it is easier to see, which I am quite small, I don't know if that has anything to do with it but thank goodness for the sophisticated machinary! I was surprised, posted that some places do not do u/s during 1st tri., that is so hard to believe, that because of being afraid of being sued, they will not but someone's mind at ease. Re: 's dr apt (pg ment) ,Don't mean to butt in, but just wanted to let you know that at my6-1/2 week u/s we saw and heard the heartbeat. I believe it may have something to do with the sophistication of the u/s equipment, because I know there are some women at 12 and 13 weeks who haven't heard the heartbeat yet. I'm not sure though......Anyway, I'm so happy for you! I have never heard that they won't let you hear the heartbeat during the first trimester. I can't imagine why they would be at risk for letting you hear the heartbeat. Then again, I don't know.......
