Dana

My clothes were pretty tight right away. I am not sure if it was from

the fertility drugs or what. I think I was bloated. I am now 14 weeks

and definetely noticable. Up until about a week ago I was able to fit

into my skirts I wear to work with the zipper down a little. Now

forget it. I went to my first dr appt at 9 weeks. I had gained 5lbs

by that point and then at my last visit I gained another 5.

Dana,

My pants were very snug and uncomfortable by about 7-8 weeks. By 10

weeks there were very few pants I could wear. I had a couple of pants

that had some elastic in the waistband and those were the only ones I

could wear. By 12 weeks I was not able to wear any of my pants any

more. Now, at 14 weeks, there are some tops I can't wear any longer.

They are really tight across the chest. I bought some Maternity

clothes a couple of weeks ago and have been wearing some of them. I'm

trying to hold out on going full Maternity as long as I can. I've

heard you get really tired of the same old clothes pretty quick.

Early on I bought some non-Maternity clothes that were just very loose

and comfy. Hope that helps some. Of course, everyone is different.

I have a friend who didn't wear any Maternity until she was 5 months!

Ellle,,

I have quite a few jumpers that I can wear but my problem is the bb's. I have already grown a cup size in just 6 weeks 6 days. I am thinking I'll be Dolly before it's over with. My shirts all pull across the front (not attractive at all) and my jumpers are already getting a bit snug in that area. I need them slow down so the rest can catch up.

Pam,

OK see all my pants are tight already, can't begin to wear any of them, and forget trying to squeeze into jeans. I am able to wear some of my jumpers but bb's are getting HUGE!! That's what is outgrowing my clothes. I had to go buy new bras already. I haven't gained any weight according to the scales, but nothing fits right anymore.

Dolly Dana,

You are too funny! I am not able to wear very many of my shirts now

either, so I can sympathize. I think this is the symptom DH likes

the best! I told him to enjoy it now, because it's probably not going

to last! After my sister had her kids, she ended up being smaller

than she was before she ever got pg.

All my clothes are pretty fitted as well. I don't have any "long" shirts I could wear outside my pants. I wear alot of jumpers but my boobs are getting so big that they are all getting tight. At this rate I won't be able to wear any of my shirts in another week. I have done from a 36 B to a 36 C and that C is completely filled up. I know in a week or so I'll be buying another bra. It's scary they are growing so fast, but they should be as bad as they hurt. calls them atomic titties...They are killing me!!

Hi Dana,

With boobs that sore and growing that fast only means one thing ""healthy pg"" !! I know that is not comforting to hear at this point I will say that when I was pg with our 3.5 yr old my boobs were SO sore, I went from an 34D cup to a 38DD nursing bra the first trimester. Then they stopped being so sore and I did not increase in size that much more!!

Good luck !!

I am 14 weeks and am still tired. But its starting to get better. I

can stay up until 9:00 now instead of 7:30. Although I don't sleep

well and I wake up a couple of times to pee. So that basically makes

me exhausted all day.

R and Jen,

Sorry Jen, but I am 14 weeks 3 days and I am still exhausted! I will

say you start to get used to it though. At about 10-1/2 weeks I

thought I was getting my energy back. That last for about a week! I

haven't slept through the night since I got pg due to either sore bb,

getting up to pee all through the night, the uterus stretching pains,

etc. If it's not one thing, it's another. You might be different

though.

Get some rest sweetie!

Hi and Jen,

I'm 10 weeks 2 days and still very tired, but I must admit that it's much better than previously. I think 4-8 weeks was the worst for me, then the exhaustion is replaced by nausea - SORRY!!!!

, I was looking through the members list today and wondering where she went to... I think it usually goes away after the first trimester is over (give or take a few weeks). Then again, I don't know for sure bc I slept through most of my pg w/ ... sorry I couldn't help more! Amy (11 weeks)Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Hi Jody,

I took a few of their products for several years about 8 years ago. I was

already hypothyroid then and someone at aerobics was selling them. Some of

the products have iodine. Amounts greater than 150 mcg can harm people who

are hyperthyroid. In hypothryodism, amounts of iodine greater than 1,000 mcg

can worsen hypo symptoms, but what I took didn't have that much. Anyway, I

spent quite a bit of money on the products and didn't lose weight. No magic

bullet here.

Hi Jody,

Yes, I've been drained, muscle aches and no puffiness but my eyes have been

blurry.

I did contribute this to the heat and last week I moved my little sister and

her son in with me. She lost her job and had to give up her apartment,

couldn't let her live on the street. So far things have been going great

just hope it don't make me come out of remission.

!!!! OMG you are behind! And I am planning on sending you some of

the vaccine stuff when my new monitor gets here late this week!

This weather is the pits, I don't ever want to check for mail but am so

close to being over the limit I have to. Hang on...only one more day of

this CRAP before some of your nice cool Canadian air gets here!

Let me know if you want me to hold off on the vaccine stuff before

Friday...or do what I do, the articles I copy and paste to word then save

them on my desktop, drag and drop them to a folder I made for the 'to be

read' stuff...it cleans out my mail :)

I don't do well with heat or cold. No heatwave here since this spring

but then my feet and hands swelled. I 'd have to say that my eyes

were puffier then too but i don't know if that's related. The feet

and hands are for sure, though.

Yes, taking its toll. I'm exhausted, Jody. In MN, for hte past two days we

were warned not to go outside not only because of heat but because of

pollution.

,

Isn't this year something! We have had 9 straight days of over 90 with high

humidity! It is suppose to break tonight, I sure hope so, not sure what I

will do if the Canadian cold front misses us again. Have literally been in

tears for the last 3 days :( And living in wet clothes because I go hose

down outside then come sit in front of the fan...it helps some!

Does the heat affect the eyes and make them puffier?

Hi Jody-

I'd think we'd use and need more thyroid hormone when stressed. We're keyed

up which uses more energy. We need thyroid hormone to produce more energy.

That's why I don't like being completely reliant on exogenous thyroid

hormone. We can't adjust it like our bodies would normally do if we had

thyroid glands.

I've also been pretty wiped out the last few days. My hands are cracking

and bleeding again and I have sores all over. Haven't had that happen for a

while.

Take care,
