thinks since she has her thumb in her mouth that the other finger

belongs in her nose. We keep saying no nose no nose and she points and says

no nose. Then she does it all over again :(

LOL! I have to check 's ears and nose once a week for foreign objects.

The ears are a pisser because I can't extract them myself, so off we head to

the doctors at least twice a month for a flushing. ~sigh~ Never dull, never

dull:)

That's what started screaming last night just after we put him to bed.

" My nose, my nose! Gotta fixed it! "

I asked him what was wrong and he just kept screaming. It took an hour before

he was calm enough for me to actually look up his nose. I saw a bead. A small

glass bead that should have been in my craft box. Time for a new lock on that

cupboard. So I tried tweezers. You know that didn't work. So I got to

hold one nostril shut and told him to sneeze through his nose. He did and the

bead shot across the room.

He said " Thanks mom " and went back to bed. He was asleep in seconds.

Sigh.

If only he could have just told me what was wrong.

Tuna,

Man, that brings back memories!

When Elaine was little, she crammed an M & M up her nose...I remember

going into the doctor's office (couldn't get it out); he read the

chart, chuckled to himself, and asked, " Plain or Peanut? " Turns out

it matters...plain melts and goes on down, peanut does not.

A couple of years later, she carefully rolled up a piece of paper and

crammed it up 's nose...why sat there and let her do it

I'll never know...I got it out with tweezers.

Tuna this happened to set this weekend! It was a little pink bead that I

put in Chenoa's hair. I couldn't believe she put it up her nose. She was

crying and I thought I was going to have a panic attack. Luckily a friend of

mine who had been through a button up the nose of her son was calm and was able

to pinch sets nose and the bead came out!

Oh God, how I know that feeling.

Glad you figured it out & got the bead out with no trauma...

This is starting to become an issue here now. Mikey is starting to have

some definite ideas about what he's entitled to when, what he wants to eat &

drink, etc....in other words becoming more aware of his environment and

making choices for himself! All good. Right? Well, except he can't TELL

US what it is he wants...Yesterday he had a 2 hour tantrum because he was

hungry and didn't want what I had offered. When he threw the food I thought

it meant he wasn't hungry & moved on to trying other things...my " wrong

answers " just upset him more and more...ugh.

Maybe it's time to try PECS again?

*sigh*

did this twice, but he did tell me what happened. Yep, did the

tweezer thing too with a flashlight held in my mouth. Luckily it worked

both times.
