Guest guest
I cleaned out 5 bags of clothes that were too big for me and took them to a large-size clothing consignment shop. After a couple weeks I had enough credit to get several new dresses - all smaller, of course. It's been fun going through my closet every once in a while and getting rid of things and it feels very freeing. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my store credit once I get too small for the sizes they carry, though - ha! I'm such a pack rat that I have boxes in the attic of my smaller sized clothes that I'm sorting through and picking things out that I can wear once again. I absolutely hate shopping so this works much better for me - these are clothes that I love and haven't seen in almost 10 years so they're almost new to me again. I told a co-worker what I was doing and she questioned why I'd get rid of them - what if I needed them again? I had a hard time impressing on her that I will NEVER let myself get that big again. Of course, she's one of those people who has been saying all year that she needs to lose weight, get back to the gym, etc... and hasn't done anything. I'll just keep setting a good example. ;-). As long as you think " i might be back into them, then what would I do " , it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. You have to take the stance " I'll NEVER be that size again " ....it makes you work harder to make THAT a reality. Kris
Guest guest
Cheryl, I had saved several large boxes and bags of " skinny " clothes just in case I ever needed them again. It never happened. We recently moved, and I got rid of them. Fortunately, I love to shop, and can't wait to go buy new " skinny " clothes! ;o) B. in SC
