nausea and afib and clamminess behind neck? all the pharmacists say it is safe

for people with afib, just wondering if anybody has had a reaction . thank you

Hi . I was cardioverted to NSR on Dec 27 and caught some kind

of virus in the ER. The day after I got home I went to my GP and he

prescribed a " Z Pack " for me. I took it for 4 or 5 days and it

cleared up whatever I had but days later I went back into AFIB. The

NSR lasted on 9 days and it was back to the ER for another

Cardioversion. I have since read on this board....last

month....about the effects of antibiotics and afib. I was on

Amiodorone so maybe that had something to do with it. My GP said it

shouldn't have effect the AFIB.

Hi ,

I took z-paks a couple of times in the last few years and did not

experience any bad reactions from it. I do remember being concerned

about taking it, but it did not trigger an afib episode.

Zpack is the only antibiodic I can take. I'm alergic to penicillin and

tetracycline so that leaves levaquin or zithromycin. When I researched

antibiodics

for pneumonia, those were the 4 recommended. There were other names but all

were one of the other 4. Zithromycin gave me no problems. Levaquin made my leg

muscles and tendons hurt.
