Just pull them out. I'm a wimp so I had my girlfriend do it for me.

Pretty simple. Remember, the big one needs to stay in for 15 days.

Also, if you're having drainage call Nina and ask her advice. I kept

one of the smaller ones in a couple of days longer because of drainage

per Nina's advice. Ginger

I just applied a little pressure with my finger and pulled them out slowly. It did not hurt and came out just fine.Molly <msmolly6255@...> wrote: you can take them out or have your doctor. my friend and i took mine out molly stitches Does anybody remember what Yolanda said about our stitches. , clip the knot off the end and pull from the other end. I found a slow, firm, steady pull worked well. Don't pull too fast. I made one of my incisions bleed (just a couple of drops) because I got a bit anxious and pulled kind of jerky. The sutures are thick and they won't break when you pull. Phyllis

  • 1 year later...

I cannot get under there myself

It is really akward to reach for me

Picking up my arm or moving

around still hurts me.

Hope I get to feeling better soon

I am still all swelled up in my stomach.

I am also taking heart medication now

My heart went crazy right after getting implants.

Sandy . . . Give your doctor a call tomorrow. Call expecting him (or his nurse) to remove the stitches. . . I don't think they will give you a problem. I'd love to know what they think when they see you getting better! Hugs, Rogene

My stitches did not desolve. I had to remove them myself.

Hi ,I have no idea the answer to your question but you brought back memories for me :) I couldn't leave those little stitches alone, they were right on my bra line and drove me crazy. Finally, Dr. A. said "clip it" they felt so much better. Of course the proper time had gone by so the cut was healed. Just a funny memory, kinda cool and weird too. HA HA HA

How do or maybe the question should be why do the stitches 'work themselves out'? I've had two that I've had to clip so far. It was kinda cool and weird at the same time.

My stitches also came out and I had to cut them. My largest incision actually came unstitched before it was healed so I ended up with 2 open wounds. Wasn't really a big deal. Just when ever you see a new thread just clip it as low as you can without pulling it.

Sure he does, but lap procedures have tiny little incisions, like less than 1/2 " so they need to be sutured as well.
