HI CLAIRE,

I'M LISTENING. I KNOW THE FEELING.

I HAD A HEARING TODAY FOR MY UNEMPLOYMENT. MY PREVIOUS EMPLOYER IS TRYING TO

TAKE MY UNEMPLOYMENT AWAY FROM ME. I WENT IN VERY UPSET AND SHAKING. WELL

YOU KNOW WHAT I GOT TO JUST START QUESTIONING HER AND PUTTING HER ON THE LINE.

WE RAN OUT OF TIME AND A NEW TIME WILL HAVE TO BE SET UP. I CAN GET A TAPE OF

THE MEETING TODAY AND CAN ORGANIZE MY QUESTION MUCH BETTER RATHER THAN RUNNING

OFF THE CUFF. THE LADY AT THE HEARING DID NOT SEEM TO SUPPORTIVE OF THEIR STAND

AND ASKED QUITE A FEW QUESTIONS HERSELF. I FEEL CONFIDENT. I ALSO FEEL THAT

WITH A WIN WITH THE STATE FOR UN FAIR TERMINATION IT WILL HELP MAY CASE WHEN I

CONTACT THE CIVIL RIGHTS BOARD. I TALKED TO LEGAL AID AND SADLY THEY DID NOT

HAVE AN ATTORNEY TO ASSIST ME BUT HE GAVE ME A LOT OF INFORMATION AND IS SENDING

ME MORE ON HOW TO GET AN INVESTIGATION STARTED. AND IF THE CIVIL RIGHTS BOARD

GIVES ME PERMISSION TO SUE THAT I WILL NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS FINDING AN ATTORNEY

THAT WILL TAKE THE CASE.

THIS TIME MY OLD BOSS WAS THE ONE THAT LEFT THE MEETING CRYING.

I AM SORRY. BUT AFTER ALL THAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH BECAUSE OF HER I GOT A LOT

OF SATISFACTION. BESIDES SHE HAS AN AWFUL LOT OF TEARS TO SHED TO CATCH UP

WITH MINE.

and others...I think we all have met or had to endure working next

to an individual like you described. Although it's maddening to see the

office supply/work time abuses taking place, it has been my experience that

sooner or later, they get what's coming to them. However, there is a

larger issue here that we need not forget..and that is discrimination in

the workplace. Laws protecting the rights of the disabled by guaranteeing

them a safe, nonhostile work environment have been a long time coming...but

they are on the books SO USE THEM. There are very specific federal and

state mandates in place that govern what is deemed fair and equitable. No

one, be they physically challenged or not, needs to tolerate inappropriate

behavior. When and if such an incident occurs, laws have been broken,

rights have been violated and action must be taken. Shame on anyone who

suffers needlessly at the hands of some ignorant boor who lacks the class

and compassion to understand what is going outside their pathetic

self-centered world. Please do not allow yourselves to be treated like

second class citizens. You are brave, courageous souls trying with all

your being to be productive and independent. Anyone or anything that

blocks your path to progress needs to be called to task. We all have

rights, so exercise them!

If you are easily offended don't read:

My husband has long suffered the fact that he is the only one who actually

does the work besides one coworker in his office. He is the systems

administrator to the third largest remote data entry company in the world.

There is one woman who is nothing but a lazy self riteous B==== who never

lifts a finger and otherwise sucks the energy out of any room she goes

into. Everyone knows the type. The ones that draw a huge salary and use up

all office supplies to run their own ebay buisiness out of the office that

is paying them. The ones that use up all the paper in the office to print

out her church's weekly bulletins and then leaves early without replacing

the paper so that MY DYING HUSBAND HAS TO GO OUT AND BUY IT WITH HIS OWN

MONEY TO FINISH A SHIPPING OF NINETY SOME-ODD COMPUTERS OUT BY THE END OF

THE DAY. This woman takes a two hour lunch daily and then comes back to the

office....to go sit down and eat her lunch. Believe me, all of this is

true. When I hear stories like that I want to strangle her.

That doesn't even come CLOSE to how I feel about her tonight.

Today we went and picked up 's wheelchair because he has now gone

beyond the point of walking. Instead of going home afterwards, he goes

right to work in his wheelchair. Know what the first thing out of this

B++++'s mouth is?

" That thing sure is gonna get in the way. "

I hate her. hatehatehatehate. Rantrantrantrantrant. I want to wish really

bad things on her. I am so angry that I cannot see straight. But luckily

is going to file an official grievance at work for discrimination.

I hope she gets written up on Christmas Eve. I swear to all that is and all

that ever will be that I can no longer trust myself around that woman. We

are talking serious Jerry Springer catfight coming out of me right now.

OK, all that being said, I guess I just have to realize that some people

are just stupid and I should feel sorry for them. Especially since she is

so bent out of shape about not getting a Christmas bonus this year. I mean

with all her Amway failures and stuff, she sure does have it rough

financially. If only I could understand what that means (as my husband is

not taking some of his meds because we cannot afford them anymore). Poor

poor her. I should feel sorry for her. But I really want to roll her house

and throw eggs at her car. GRRRRRRRRRRR.

I thought this would make me feel better, but it doesn't. Sigh. Guess it's

yet another thing I have to let roll off my back. Does anyone ever get just

fed absolutely UP with this day to day CRAP???

Okay, I'm shutting up. That was not very productive. But I had to tell

SOMEONE. I am going to attempt to calm down now. Thanks for anyone who

listened.

Thanks so much Bonnie. I do feel a lot better after I've slept on it and detoxed

myself from the anger. As soon as I shake the virus I have I think I will be

even better.

I am so glad you did so well at the hearing. That is wonderful news! What an

accomplishment. And you know that you are in the right, which must make you even

stronger. Your boss was hoping you'd just go away, I know it. Now they know

better!

Doug, thank you so much! is filing an official grievance in accordance

with their employee manual (which he wrote several years ago, by the way).

I have a friend in Pensa who is the lawyer for the BOE down there. He might have

some ideas. If this...ahem....getting my " nice " back....person doesn't receive

the necessary repremand, they are going to have a really big problem on their

hands. Like has said on several occasions, we are just trying to find

something (or someone) to vent out all this pent up anger over this situation,

and it's amazing how many people will just line up and put a target on their

forehead.

work any more but she is still out there.
