Guest guest Posted August 14, 2001 Report Share Posted August 14, 2001 , If this patient has had some kind of hardware placed due to a fracture, I can see where the doc may be saying that there is a fusion between the bone and the plate, screw or whatever which is made of metal, thus an osteometallic fusion.
