Hi -

I'm curious. How many of you have been diagnosed with Raynaud's Syndrome?

It's characterized by blanching and discoloration of the extremities. It

can be painful but can also be characterized with numbed extremities.

This usually happens in circumstances where other people aren't having these

problems (for example, it's cool and other people are fine but you're having

an exaggerated response to the coolness).

I haven't been diagnosed with Raynauds but my legs and arms, hands and feet

go numb quite often...also hubby can be warm or comfortable at times and I

am freezing in 80 degree weather...chalked it up to hypo though.

I have Raynaud's Syndrome. The endo thought it was another complication

of the diabetes. However, I thought it was suspicious that it started

when I started Cozaar. And indeed that was what it was. It's lovely when

I get too hot I just put my finger tips on my face.

Hi Jody-

There are different degrees of Raynaud's. At it's worst, it looks pretty

bizarre (hands and feet look like they're frostbitten). Usually, when I

have spells it starts with the numbness and my fingers, toes, hands and feet

get paler. Then, if I don't get them warmed up fast enough, they'll go

white and dark purple. If I let it go that far, it hurts when the blood

comes back in.

Usually, if I bundle up properly, as does, it doesn't get that bad.

Raynaud's is often found in people with autoimmune disease.
