Okay. I guess we talked this one so loud that the universe started

to have more appear to me.

I just got back from my health food store. When I was checking out

I noticed a newsletter with the headlines " Dentists Advised to

Warn Patients of Mercury in Fillings. " This newsletter is published

specifically to offer information about the silver amalgam mercury

issue!

One 1 page articles talks about 5 points in favor of removal of

amalgam fillings starting with 1) within 2 weeks mercury levels

in the body fall significantly, 3) total reduction in mercury in blood

and urine often over 80% within a few months, and 4 ) documented

cases of serious health problems including many mentions of

autoimmune diseases.

I suppose then there IS more to this?

, Call me suspicious, but who is it that is reccommending

that we take our old fillings out and replace them all with new

ones??? It wouldn't be the dental association, would it now???

Hmmm....They wouldn't have much to gain by misleading us would

they??? I wonder...My dentist said to leave them alone, too. And he

showed me his to prove that he put his mouth where his mouth is.

But my word, things are really harder when you lose your blind

faith, aren't they?

I guess it depends who rights the article. Like my husband always

tells me...it's just someone's opinion.

When it becomes everyone's opinion I'll be more concerned.

Pat,

Although I think there are some people who benefit from amalgam removals,

they're clearly in the minority. As a point of reference, I have fillings in

nearly all my teeth. Along with 4-5 crowns, 2 bridges, etc. I've ran several

blood and urine mercuries on myself and they're all normal and actually on

the low side.

The usual argument is that mercury vapor is released from the fillings but

that doesn't seem very likely considering the solid nature of fillings.

Myself, I'm more concerned with the arsenic introduced in drinking water as a

byproduct of fluoride. Some of the original studies recommended fluoride were

badly flawed.
