That could be my post! I said ..after Christmas...then I said after New

Years...yesterday I said...this Monday!

But I went shopping yesterday and cleaned out my cabinets and I am ready to

go (AGAIN) on phase 1. I know what I need to do, so today I begin again

doing it.

The most important thing for me is to be prepared and clean out my cabinets.

My goal is to lose 6 pounds in these upcoming two weeks.

Thanks, I think that you are right and I need to get the snacks that

I know that I can have. Thats how I was doing it but I kind of

digressed.

I know you can do it Beth. I started Phase one January 1st and lost 12 lbs so far. That being said, I was at 310 and need to get down to at least 200 but hey... :)

Unfortunately, yes, I think you're going to have to go back on phase one for awhile to break that bad carb craving again.

Today I am really motivated. My pants were way to uncomfortable yesterday.

I didn't start before Christmas but, like a couple of others here,

find myself starting over again. I finally got the car fixed but it

became too much to try to stay on this diet when I didn't have a way

of getting groceries. I stayed on program as best I could until

finally I found myself having to eat all sorts of things off

program. *But* determined not to undo all the good I did my very

first week, I somehow, amazingly, managed to stay completely out of

the desserts and sweets of any kind, *and* stayed away from the

Chinese restaraunt down the street. I think this helped a great

deal.

I confess I ate at both KFC and Taco Bell during this past week (and

okay, not the approved stuff either), but I think having to *walk*

there saved me from doing too much harm. I was dumbfounded when I

stepped on the scale this morning and saw it was down another 2lbs.

despite what I've been eating this past week. Go figure. It may

all show up next week. lol I specifically stayed away from the

candy jar at work because I suspected I might not be able to get off

that particular merry-go-round again if I put just one piece of

chocolate in my mouth. Somehow I managed not to do that.

Any way, I don't feel so alone and like such a loser (and not in the

good way), having to start over again. I went shopping Thursday

night and I am more than prepared to begin again. This may actually

be good. I feel like I actually know more what I'm doing now. So,

for those of you having to start over, and those of you just

beginning, count me in. Here we go again. lol

Debbie what a great story and that is just the kind of encouragement I need today. Unfortunately I read the email after I broke into the Oreos......(walking back to corner, tail between legs), anyway, starting again tomorrow for sure, but not sure if I should start on Ph1 or Ph2. Kim G.

You know, the way I figure it, the one and only thing that's really

important is not to give up! I hear everyone saying, " Yes, I went

off the eating plan, *but* I'm starting over again " . We're not

quitting. We're beginning agian. That is so, so important. And

because we refuse to quit, refuse to give up, because we are all

committed to stick with it and begin again, each and every one of us

*will* succeed. I am sure of it.

BTW, I tried the mashed cauliflower for lunch today...OMG! I could

not believe my taste buds!! *This* is cauliflower?! I will never,

ever miss having a potato again! And I HATE cauliflower! I can't

believe I like this! That food that is good for you can taste this

good is just unbelievable to me. I just can't believe I get to be

satisfied *and* lose weight.

I agree we should not give up and start over again! I did just that, I lost 13 pounds about a year ago and hit a plateau and quit....thinking this diet is not working for me. If I had stuck with it I would have been maintaining by now. Even though it is better that you start over right away than not do it at all! HANG IN THERE PEOPLE. KC
