Carla - NO NO NO!!! I'm sorry to be so emphatic but you should NOT

have a D & C for Asherman's EVER! This is the WORST possible thing that

can be done and is NOT a cure for Asherman's. You need to find a

different doctor. One that specializes in Asherman's...or at the very

least, one that is willing to do a hysteroscopy using microscissors

ONLY to resect your scar tissue. PLEASE DO NOT let anyone perform a

D & C on you to repair Ashermans!!

I don't mean to scare you, but if this doctor is suggesting a D & C to

treat Asherman's than you have THE WRONG DOCTOR!

CArla,

What! You are scheduled to have a D & C for Ashermans? This is not good...did i misread your e-mail? D & C's used to be used many many years ago for Ashermans but now the current thinking is that it is the worst thing you can do. If this is what your doctor is recommending i would get a second opinion as soon as possible. Get a free telephone consult from one of our A list docs. I can go into great detail about why this is n't wise, but i have to put my son to bed right now. So, more later if someone deson't beat me to it. Anyway, I just wanted to quickly say to hold off and put on the brakes if your doc is really thinking about a D & C. Your lining is the most important thing to preserve and any doc that even mentions a D & C for Ashermans is immediately suspect. Ok, more later....sorry to be so blunt, but this is really crucial to you saving your uterus. Talk to you soon
