Guest guest
I found this board a week or so ago, and tried posting my question, but never saw it on the board. I've been going into flutter since 2001. Rythmol stopped working, and I've been going into it every few days, and they've stopped cardioverting me. I'm scheduled for an ablation on the 23rd, and wonder if those who've experienced it can tell me what to expect. I've read the blurb on the med websites, but I'd like some subjective assessments...pain to be expected, recovery time to be able to be up and around...how long before returning to normal active athletic life...? I use a Polar heart monitor to regulate my workouts, and it's as accurate as the EKG in determining the atrial beats...impressing the folks at Scripps in Torrey Pines, who notice that it's at the exact same rhythm as their expensive machines. ~$95 at REI.
