Guest guest
Hello Pat, You are welcome for the link. Glad to be of help. Sorry to hear about all the hard times you have had with this disease. I am beginning to suspect that there is really no cold stage in the eye disease. People here keep saying things like 'I cut down my dose and my eyes started to feel bad' or similar things that have led me to believe that what I have read about the eye disease lasting for 3 years tops and then perhaps reversing itself, is a gross oversimplification. Just like when my older brother asked a nurse friend of his about Graves'. He was told exactly what she had been taught: Graves' is easily treated with medication. Now he won't listen to me when I say that's not quite the case. I wonder who is writing this garbage and why??? It is really messing me up! No one in my family will listen to me about this. That includes 3 siblings and a daughter. Anyway, guess i got off my thought of saying I'm glad you can put in your 2 cents now! > Thank-you to and Jody who have sent me the link to the actualmessage board...must have been that notorious brain fog that did mein! Anyway, in brief, after being treated for eye " allergies " forover a year, after 2 trips to the ER for rapid heartbeat that wasdiagnosed as cause unknown, then the Graves discovered... PTU for ayear, thyroidectomy, synthroid, 5 different doctors because I wantsomeone to put me on Armour...AFTER all this, I am sitting herewaiting for my eyes to hit the cold stage, the PTM to subside, (ifever), the 40 lbs (was 70) I gained to drop off and the lowering ofmy now sky high cholesterol! Sigh...I wish I had the internet beforeI became ill...Choices would have been different. So...hello to allof you!
