As I see it, doctors are very reluctant to make any definite statements about implant illnesses. They don't want to end up in court, having to prove what appears to be unprovable. They are too invested in their practices to become controversial. I think they practice ways of saying things without making any finite statements. Rogene

Krista;

I felt the same way as you. I had implants for 25 years before removing

them permanently.

I had to deal with being very tiny breasted, which I had hated before

implants. Now, I still rejoice in my natural breasts, how warm and soft

they are. Best thing is that my health is so much better, my vigor has

returned, the weird aches and fogginess are in the past. I had become a

shadow of my former self, weak and easily tired. Now I amaze my husband

because I no longer take constant rest breaks and can finish what I start!

Denial is just so strong in people. Best thing you can do is make your

own decisions based on what you know is true(many people and doctors

will tell you that it is just hysteria...HAH)

and go on with your life. Lead by example.

It is so scary. But the other side is worth it.

Welcome Krista, You're on the right track! . . . It's all about proper explant and detoxing. Unfortunately, it takes time and patience. I have the feeling you're up to it! Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Thanks for the encouragement, Kate. All of this sure is frustrating.

I'm glad that you have stayed with the group to give all of us girls

who are going through this some advice and encouragement, it sure it

nice to know there is support out there.

So, do you (or anyone out there) have some advice for me as far as

getting through the days before the explant?

I've been having a heck of a time will all the aches, pains and

fogginess. It seems like it is getting harder and harder to get

through the days. Just curious to know if you all had learned

something during your journey that you could share with me.

Any advice is appreciated!

Krista,

I started my yeast connection diet - eliminated sugar. I still felt bad but better. Limit your stress if possible. Hot epson salt baths for the pain.

Dr. Huang will give you some medication to help you relax pre-explant as well - this helped with my anxiety.

Thanks Lynn. Where can I find information on the yeast connection

diet? I'm so new to all of this I feel so lost like I'm about a

hundred steps behind you guys!

Okay, and epson salt baths huh?

Interesting about Dr.Huang giving you something to relax pre-explant.

By the way, how long did it take you to get in and see her? I feel

like I've been on the " wait-list " forever!

say " google " ...duh! :-) My brain is not working properly lately.

Looks good and I will start implementing it right away.

I think it was about a month or a tiny bit more. She is super busy and very popular. The last few weeks seemed to drag for me, I just wanted them out of me.

The yeast connection is a book - cuts sugar out of your diet as sugar just feeds yeast. Many of us have found that we have a yeast problem - which causes so many issues (brain fog is a biggy). http://www.amazon.com/Yeast-Connection-Handbook--Crook/dp/0933478240

I believe I bought a copy from Lynda. I also followed The Maker's Diet - this helped me so much! http://www.makersdiet.com/publicsite/interstitial.aspx

Before I got sick I had horrible diet habits - lots of soda, fast food, packaged processed foods. Changing my diet has helped me feel better, but it has been hard because I had some bad habits to break.

Hugs, Lynn

Re: New to Forum- Would love some advice for all you experts!

I'm so new to all of this I feel so lost like I'm about ahundred steps behind you guys!Okay, and epson salt baths huh?Interesting about Dr.Huang giving you something to relax pre-explant.By the way, how long did it take you to get in and see her? Yep, you got it from me. I have another copy and

also a copy of The Yeast Connection and Women.

So much of our society has terrible diet habits. It is an epidemic.

Krista, I think it's pretty normal for one to feel worse while waiting for explant. . . It's on you mind so much that you notice every ache and pain. . . Try to stay busy . . . Eat healthy . . . . drink a lot of water - 1/2 ounce pre pound of body weight daily . . . exercise as much as you comfortably can . . . block out negative thoughts by replacing them with positive thoughts. . . manage stress and anger as much as possible. Life will begin again soon! . . . Get ready to enjoy it! Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Krista, Taking your supervisor into your confidence, and letting her know there will be an end to your problems can take a lot of stress out of your situation. . . I think Dede's suggestion is good. Secrets can cause a lot of needless stress. . . Hugs, Rogene
