,

It is safe to take Rolaids or Tums during pg, trust me I lived on them when I was pg with all of my kids. My dr also told me that I could take Zantec this time, which is good if you have heartburn that lasts all day. I know how awful it can be, but the good news is as soon as the baby is out it usually stops. Although that doesn't help you much now. I hope this helps.

Love & hugs,

Jo-Ann

Heartburn!

Help! I have had terrible heartburn. The only remmedies I can find is sitting up and not laying down after eating. Well, what am I suppost to do when I have it, that is just how to prevent it! Last night I drank lots of water and it helped a little but it was still awful. Friday night it kept me up and I ended up throwing up. I cried because I am suppost to be gaining weight not throwing up. I thought I knew what heartburn was but now I really know and it stinks! Yesturday it started during my yoga class and just ruined my entire class and then I don't feel like eating which I NEED to do! I should probably call my dr but I hate calling! Thanks for any info/remedies,

Didn't even think about Tums... I took them with to up my calcium, the dr felt i didn't take in enough dairy products so he told me to go buy Tums. Maybe that's why I never had heartburn with ... I have a bag of goodies my dr office gave me. There was a list in

there of what you can take for different m/s symptoms. I will look

tonight.

Hi ,

I'm so sorry to hear about your heartburn, unfortunately I don't know any

remedies but will ask around and see what I come up with. Have you tried

eating small meals? It seems to be more comfortable for me since becoming

pregnant.

I had it really bad w/ and RJ. I did all that you are doing, plus I

tried eating smaller meals, and non spicy foods too...that helped alot. Some

doc's will allow Tums or Rolaids w/ calcium.

I had awful heartburn with . I had to use tums everyday. And they

say not to eat real late at night. Like after 8 or so. Try that.

Good luck

I suffered worse with the heartburn w/ . I don't know if the old wives

tale is true or not about heartburn, and a baby w/ lots of hair, but I will

tell you it worked for her. She was born with dark brown 2.5 inches of hair

that spiked all over the place and never fell down until it all fell out, and

came in dark blonde.

Oh, Joanne, I would like my first to be a boy...so lets hope it is

and it is just a bunch of fine, curly, cute boy hair!

Hugs,

P.S. I read that heartburn lessens once the baby drops. Was that

true for you? Atleast that gives me something to look forward

to...like 4 months away Ugh!
