I am doing a diet (life change). It would be nice to have a support

group for fibro dieters.

Hi,

I'm a Fibro dieter to be. This week I've been working on taking

my vitamins on a regular basis. This weekend starts the 'diet' of sweets 2

times a week, I'm going to get it down to one time. I was hooked on

Starbucks double chocolate chip and am down to 2 a week so that has to

change even more. Meantime, I'm working on eating more veggies and fruit.

I'm a vegetarian and don't eat any nightshades and I've been on that diet

about, oh, 18 years or so. My goal is to eat as much fresh fruits and

vegetables as possible and eat 6 small meals a day with sweets only 1 time a

week. I did this about 15 years ago with great success. It was for my

reactive hypoglycemia and I 'inadvertently' lost 32 pounds the first year.

I stabilized after that. Now, I need to lose about twice that much and my

ability to walk everyday isn't there yet. Hopefully I'll get there. I was

going to do this over a month ago but my heart decided to pull a bad number

on me (I'm blaming Fibro for good reason but it's a long story). Now, I'm

back to doing the right things for my body. Funny how hard that can be.

Good-luck on your side,

Jane

Heck, is that all? Way to go! I have the first 10, last 10 and middle 50

to go. :-( I wasn't a fatty before Fibro. But I did gain some weight when

I married at the ripe old age of 30. (okay, that's not old but I thought so

at the time)

Hugs,

Jane

So am I Heidi Marie..

It would be a great idea for a group..

I am not so much trying to lose weight, although I am overweight..

Because of all the medication I am on (20 in all) about half of them cause

weight gain and I cannot exercise, although I do stretching exercises but I am

going through a diet change at the moment and changing to a lot of fruit and

veges, lean meat and grains for fibre...

Yes. I think its the only thing that keeps some of my joint pain at bay and my

energy levels from hitting rock bottom, although thats still a fight. I'm

beginning to think that for me, gluten-is very bad for me. I've eliminated many

things or at least have cut way down as often as possible. Chocolate, caffeine,

fast foods, bread, sugary stuff, pasta, etc., It may not be the answer but

helps. I guess I realized in alot of ways that I always felt worse after eating

than before eating-so I started to look at the things I was eating and it has

helped to some degree. Claudette
