Guest guest
Yep, we pronounce it like your daughter's. I love that name, it is so pretty and girly, yet not silly if you know what I mean. She'll have a hard time finding the personalized license plates for her bike though...oh well! Guest guest
Vivki, You are absolutely right about having a *hard* time finding anything pre-made with that name on it. Everything we have has been made. Did that make sense?? I can not find anything pre-made with my name on it either due to the "different" spelling. Yes, I have to agree it is a lovely name for a girl. My dad started calling Makala "Mak" or "Maki" very early on and it has stuck with her which is not a bad little nickname. To be honest with you I had never heard the name until on day someone pronounced my name that way and I thought, "hhhmmm, if I ever have a little girl I will give her that name." There are TONS of spellings for it, we made ours up. Any how, sorry to go on about a name!! Hugs and loves to you and yours, e >From: Vicki Dunkle >Reply-To: PregnancyBabiesAfterEctopic >To: PregnancyBabiesAfterEctopic >Subject: Re: Vicki >Date: Mon, 16 Apr 2001 23:41:11 -0500 > >Yep, we pronounce it like your daughter's. I'll let you know if I come across it again! maria
Guest guest
Hi Vicki. Glad to hear all is well. So you, like me, will have to return to work asap. Question, are you breast feeding? If so, how long are you able to get away to work? I am going to have to go into work a week after the baby is born to do payroll...no one seems interested in learning how to do it, even my dh! Even if I do teach someone, you know I will get called in because of a " special circumstance " or they forgot. I too am trying to figure out how I can do some work from home. So, how are the boys enjoying their sister? Have they changed any diapers yet? Well, enjoy your time! Hugs, > Hi Dana, > I just realized that you made it over here and that you were > expecting!!! Guest guest
Vicki, pees at every diaper change, too! What is it about these little girls??? Cam almost never did that. But even when he did you could see it coming and cover it, with girls it seems to get all over the place before you realize it's started! Too funny! Guest guest
Joleen, Speaking as a mother of three little girls, I'm still surprised when Tessa pees when I'm changing her. When I was in Kingston a couple of weekends ago she peed everywhere and I had only brought a limited number of receiving blankets. Needless to say I was washing them out by hand. Women come with many mysteries! lol! Love & hugs, Jo-Ann Love & hugs,Jo-Ann Re: Vicki Vicki, pees at every diaper change, too! What is it about these little girls??? Cam almost never did that.
