Guest guest
We rec'd a sample a long time ago..... our daughter didn't care for them, so I made GF french toast sticks with them. I think we rec'd a total of 4 individual slices (that were packaged separately). I also rec'd an email today saying they are no longer offering free bread samples. It was from www.charlottesbakery.com Melonie > Quite awhile ago there was a company offering free bread samples and so I > signed up and never did receive them. Guest guest
Yeah, I must be on some list with them bc I've received three notices from them today! All essentially saying "Remember that sample you asked for (LAST FALL), well you aren't getting it!" Guest guest
I have rec'd two notices today. (and only inquired once for a free sample). Sounds like they are just now getting around to trying to reply and are probably getting the hang of their website... ???? That's funny. Maybe you'll get a few more notices before the day is out. Guest guest
It is a company called Chatlotte's Bakery located here in Salt Lake City. They have had MAJOR issues with the city and getting permission to keep their bakery running. Their bakery/store is located in an old home that has been remodeled to be a bakery and store. It is actually quite neat. But the city has bought all of the property around them to build the city center and city park. They want their property too, but are not willing to pay what it is worth so that they could afford to re-locate. So to try and force them out they are making life difficult. I don't know exactly how this relates to sending out their bread samples, but it has made it so that we have to put our bread orders in almost a month in advance and then we have about a 4 hour window on one saturday during the month to pick them up. We buy a ton of their bread. It is a little crumbly but the taste is good and makes an excellent grilled cheese. I save the crumbs and use it for recipies that call for crumbs... I'm sorry for the frustration you have all had in getting the samples. I don't work for them or anything. I just know that my daughter loves their bread so we are trying to help them stay in business Hope that helps a little. Guest guest
Jonyce, Thanks for the information. I guess I read into the letter something that may not have been there. I was hoping to try something before I actually committed to buying something since this food is so expensive. In the meantime I have found a local place that sells a rice bread that is pretty good and there is no shipping. The bummer is that they do not have a raisin bread or anything. It is pretty frustrating to find products in our town since it is pretty small and then it cost so much. But it is getting easier. I hope they can make a go of it and that they can get enough money to relocate if they desire to.
Guest guest
We got our samples here and split each of 4 peices 5 ways (we have 4 + 1 friend who are gf). Everyone had at least 2 of the 4 flavors of bread that they liked, but when I went to the site it was way too expensive to ship it to California...So I never did place an order. God bless, nn >Quite awhile ago there was a company offering free bread samples and so I >signed up and never did receive them. Now I finally get a notice saying >they will not send them. Guest guest
I got the same notice(s)... I sent for it a while ago and never heard anything and didn't get any samples either. I do like to try a small sample of stuff like this before purchasing when possible or even purchase a sample size. I tried some hot dog buns last week that I bought a whole pack of and didn't care for them at all... too grainy tasting, so they ended up being ground up for bread crumbs for the next meatloaf or meatballs. *......*\..../\../_____(o''o)_____(_____(____)_____)(____(___)____)(__)V Have a bee-u-ti-ful Day!! :-)in VA Free bread samples Quite awhile ago there was a company offering free bread samples and so I signed up and never did receive them.
