I have a tingling in my left leg near the knee and it hurts so bad I can hardly get up or down the stairs. They hurt the worst when I put weight on them while they are bent. I even keep a cane near my chair to pull me up with. I'm on gemfibrozil which is a lopid and the doctor says that's not what is causing my problem but after ex-rays of my back and knees and even an MRI of my back and knees all the specialist did was have me get knee braces for both knees to give me stability and told me to exercise them more. I already walk a lot and do knee and leg exercises as much as the pain will allow but it's getting worse. Does anyone know if gemfibrozil has the same side effects as Baycol?
