On behalf of the EMSAT Board and it's members we extend our prayers to Darrell

Helton's family, friends, and co-workers during this very difficult time. We're

his children young and has anyone set up an account to assist them for college

etc'?

Sincerely,

EMSAT President

FW:Funeral Arrangements for Darrell Helton GoldStar EMS

Beaumont, Texas

December 29, 2001

Dear Friends,

On Saturday, December 29, 2001 at 3:42 am, Darrell Helton, paramedic with

GoldStar EMS passed away at Christus St. Hospital due to a pulmonary

embolism, which caused him to go into cardiac arrest. Darrell is survived by

his wife Angie who also is an Emergency Medical Technician, and his two children

and Meagan. Services will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 4955 Pine

Street in Beaumont, on Monday, December 31st at 1:00pm. Viewing will be Sunday

from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Forest Lawn's number is 892-5912.

Darrell worked in the Beaumont area since October of 1999. He was a Field

Training Officer for GoldStar EMS with 11 years experience in Emergency Medical

Services. Darrell was a competent, caring individual who took his job seriously

and enjoyed providing care to the communities that he served.

I am sure you will want to let your colleagues know about his passing and the

funeral arrangements. If you need further information please contact Mike West

at .

On Monday, a memorial fund will be established at a local bank, in his memory,

to assist the family with expenses. When this information is available we will

forward it to you. All contributions will go to his wife, Angie Helton and will

be greatly appreciated.

This is a difficult time for Angie and all of Darrell's friends and

colleagues. We hope that you are able to attend the services to honor his

memory and to show your love and concern.

Sincerely,

Ralph Crall

CEO
