Guest guest
Hi Poly, I am Alesia, and I am also suffering from Asherman's Syndrome. My experience with Asherman's as far as I know began last January 2001. In October of 2000 after trying to get pregnant for several months I was schedule to have a Laparoscopy/Heterscopy, but my surgery had to be postponed. To my surprise two weeks later I found out I was pregnant. It took two day for my joy to turn into sorrow. I found out I was miscarrying. After trying again for several months I went ahead and had the Laparoscopy/Heterscopy after the surgery, the doctor came in and told me that my prognosis was bad, and that he found severe Asherman's Syndrome. He told me that he performed a DNC to get rid of the calcification that had built up on my uterus. I took estrogen for 30 days following my surgery and provera for 10 days after to bring back my menstrual cycle. To make a long story short, my cycle did not return and my uterus lining basically was gone. I think that doctor really did a job on me. Three months after the surgery, my doctor dismissed me as a hopeless case. I refused to give up and went to see another doctor. I had another laparoscopy/heterscopy in July. This time my doctor was smart enough to insert a balloon in my uterus so that the healing would not cause more scarring. I took estrogen for 60 days this time and provera for 10 days, but it has been two weeks and my period has not returned. I told a home pregnancy test which was negative. I am really getting discourage. This is the long and short of my story. I must include that I do have one blessing from God. I had him 8 years ago, however, I married again within the last two years. My husband does not have any children, and my greatest wish is to give him a child. I hope you or someone on this sight can give me some helpful insight.
