Well it's good to see I haven't been kicked off. It was very lively there

for a while and now it is like a ghost town. I got the CD set of Doctor

Bernstein and have read it 3 times through so far. I plan on giving it a try and

see what happens. So far I can't get my A 1 C under 6 and I know that is to

high. I sure was getting a lot of fine information on the list a few weeks ago

and now I think every one got rich and left town. I may not post much, but I

always listen and learn. Nice to see I'm still here and thanks for letting me

know some one is still around these parts.

good morning all james here in denver new to the list was diagnosed in march of

this year but i guess handling it as well as expected.

Welcome . What does that mean " handling it as well as expected " ? Have

you been able to lose weight (if needed), do testing or get your A1 C down?

Hope so, so but it you need some help, send us some info.

well I have been blind since birth grew up in southern cal and have always been

skinny.

I would have no idea I was even diabetic except I was so tired and finally

went to my doctor, who did the full screening and when I went in he said my

blood sugar was 300. I am luckily on pills i take met formen 850twice a day.

the hardest thing for me is knowing when i am bleeding enough to put the drop on

the test strip, i bought a new talking gloocomiter from prodigy which seems

okay but i was wondering what people think of the acu check. still exercising

and of course cut out pop i have always loved vegies and cut down on bread but

still love it. have never been much of a sweet eater but must confess love

cinamon rolls. anyway it is a pleasure to be in the group and hopefully will

learn alot. my spirit is high and other then feeling tired once in awhile

doing okay. love the computer and amlooking for work background is customer

service.

Glad to meet you . I too am from S. CA, but have diabetic all my life

(since the age of 2). Does diabetes run in your family? Do you go to any of

the Braille Institutes? The one downtown has a diabetic education class,

where we teach new diabetics about diet etc.

A couple of weeks ago we had some discussion going that sent smoke pouring out

of my pc! <smile> Well, suffice it to say, stick around, once someone puts

I do recall that and I read most of the post. I belong to around ten or

more list, but don't ever read all the post. This list how ever has hardly ever

stopped posting until here lately. I work 8 hours a day and read what I can when

I can. I pretty much know who has good information to read and I delete the

rest. I just thought there for a while that this list had gone away and left me

behind. But I guess you guys were only regrouping and getting ready for the next

battle.
