Guest guest
This may not be the place to bring this subject up,but I figured if we can talk about poopie diapers, then talking about periods is not to far out.(LOL) is 17 years old,has had a perod since she was 9 1/2.About 4 yrs ago neuro decided hormone level was contributing to seizures. We were seen by gynecologist, she put on depo shots, they never did stop her periods(spotting) and she gained 25 lbs.She was then put on the ortho-cyclen pill,it has worked great, has only had 3 seizures in almost 2 years.Last month we saw new doc and he wants to skip the sugar pills each month and just go the next pack of pills. He says this will stop her periods altogether. My question is ,has anyone else tried this?did it work?are there any side effects to using the pills this way? I know that her periods do run her energy level down (it's lousy to begin with),and it would be much more convenient ,since she is dependent on me for all hygiene. At the same time ,I worry about upsetting the apple cart,so to speak. Any opinions???? ,Mom to
