I'm sorry to hear about your caffeine headaches. I hope your body gets used to all it's new and exciting changes and you have a very smooth recovery! Guest guest Posted August 25, 2002 Report Share Posted August 25, 2002 Sunday August 25th - Just a quick note - waving from the 'other side' - made it across - and wowow am I glad - surgery went well - did a lap RNY and got rid of the rotten gallbladder - yippee - rolled out of bed the night of surgery and walked the halls - not fast not fast - but on my own power. Leak test Friday am - passed with flying colors - now on clear liquids - and sipping sipping sipping - and HOME yesterday - was my 50th birthday - and this wonderful man I am SOO LUCKY to be married to drove us home 500 miles - wowow - so good to sleep in my own bed - with my own cat - grins - - Thanks to everyone for all their support preop - so glad to be on the other side. Oh yeah - meant to mention - I drank/drink a lot of coffee/tea/diet pepsi - well - used to - and the migraines I got post op from the caffeine withdrawal were the absolute worst I have ever had and made the surgery discomfort seem like a nothing....gads - Well - time to head back to my couch - the spoiled cat is calling - talk to every one soon - hugshugs - deb in NE Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You will probably feel pretty darn good from here on out with that nasty gallbladder out. I had a horribile headache in the hospital, too, but mine was not from caffeine withdrawal! Gosh, why did you do that to yourself? Well, you know the drill. Keep on sipping the water and clear liquids. Try and get in a protein drink or two.
