I was just curious and if I get really curious - I'll ask my pharmacist next time I pick up my Atropine cream if aqueous cream is petroleum based. When the prescription has to be renewed, I think I'll suggest to my doctor that it be compounded with something that might be more moisturizing and keep the glands working up to speed. <<i was just very lucky that a lady who works part-time in my local pharmacy used to be a drug rep and she called a company who said " no problem " . so my wonderful gp wrote me a script for it and 4 days later i had two little jars. for some strange reason they charged my doctor an absolute fortune - atropine and aqueous cream are hardly expensive hard-to-come by ingredients!!!>> No wonder the company said no problem when they charge a fortune for it. <ggg> <<aqeous cream spreads really well and so i find i only use the tiniest amount. i don't want the area to be full of cream and be unable to breathe and i don't want to affect the ph - i try let my skin heal itself if possible.>> I was using less than the prescription called for, for similar reasons. At first I went with a tiny amount to see how I would react to it. When I didn't have an adverse reaction and it was stopping my after sex burning pain, I didn't use much more since it spread easily and if I used more, I'd be rubbing it in and in and in and that just seemed like too much. But then I thought maybe so much was prescribed because I'm supposed to use it on a larger area, just not the tiny pain areas around my hymen. So I went deeper into my vagina (which helped with inflammation there) and spread it further out into my vestibule too - just not right at the entrace into my vagina where I hurt. Probably using more and spreading it further around slowed down the lubrication factory. I'm back to applying it just to the hymen area again and if I feel inflammation again deeper into my vagina, I'll just apply Atropine into that area a few times a week and hopefully that will help. <<i don't use it every day, i'm not sure why but just apply it as and when i feel the need.>> Do you feel like it's helping with pain and inflammation even if you don't use it every day? I may cut my Atropine applications back to once a day until I get my glands operating like they used to. I should price emu oil on the internet this afternoon when I'm doing some of my Christmas shopping for books and cds. With free shipping at & Noble and Amazon - I just can't quite think of a reason to actually go into a book or music store since I know what I want. If I went into a store, I'd probably end up buying books and cds for me too. <ggg> Debbie Tiger " And Staples Girls are so extraaaaaavagant...I just don't have that much driiiiivvvvvvel...
