This sounds great! It sounds just like the kind of program t.v. people are

interested in. Maybe all of us should send her an e-mail. I wrote her

after the show about the Fobi pouch surgery to get additional information

and she (or someone) wrote me back with the information. Pat in Texas

Hey All!!

I don't know if any of you have considered this, or if the idea has been

posted before (I'm sorry if it has and I missed it), but has anyone here

ever tried writing the Roseanne show about the struggles involved with

insurance companies refusing to pay for weight loss surgery? I know we've

all kind of talked about fighting the industry and I thought a daytime talk

show might be a good place to start since Roseanne had the Flobi Pouch

procedure. I thought she might be sympathetic to our plight and help with

getting some of those dirt bags, I mean insurance company administrators, on

her show to " discuss " the issue with some of us...DEFINITELY KATHY!!! What

do you think? Ideas? Just a thought.

Hi ! This is Roseanne's show's email address:

roseanne@... . You should be able to click on the hyper to bring

up a new mail window. I found it at her show's site. It's the email address

they give for responding to them regarding show ideas they have posted so

I'm hopeful it is going to get us heard. I would love to see Walter

Lindstrom, Dr. Rutledge, and some of us up against those whimpering little

cowards who call themselves insurance administrators. I think we could do

something really positive especially if we target the really bad groups like

Kathy's Kaiser.

Hey Janet,

I e-mailed the Roseann show. We'll see where it gets us! It would be great

if she listened and did a show like we're asking! Let me know if you hear

anything!

That was a good one, Beth. Biologically altered...I like that. I think after

surgery I'll refer to myself this way too. I'm biologically altered, thank

you for asking :-). My daughter has red hair (very very copper red) and when

people ask her where she got her red hair from, we've taught her to reply

since she was two as, " recessive genes. " That one always gets a chuckle too.

I like the " unexpected " answers. I really hope Roseanne listens to us. It

would be great to get a nationally syndicated voice but i'm not holding my

breath. Take care.

Janet,

My little brother was (and still is!) a REAL carrot top - and he got tired

of people always asking where he got that " pretty red hair. " So, without

provocation from us, he spat out one day " K-Mart! "

Is it me or do many of our stories sound to familiar. No period

after a D & C don't you think immediatley Asherman's should pop up as

one possibility? I had my D & C in June and called 3 times before they

would even make me an appointment in late September. I knew something

was wrong and nobody would listen. WHy won't doctors listen, we know

our bodies!
