Hi Ladies,

This morning I went to my long awaited appointment to see a

Rheumatologist for my severe joint pain and stiffness. I thought I

was going to finally get help and relief. When I got there I was

asked to fill out a form concerning my insurance, on this form were

a couple of questions.

Do you have breast implants? I answered Yes. Do you have a lawsuit

due to the implants? I answered No.

When the nurse saw this, she said that I could not be seen because

the doctor did not want to get involved with any implant lawsuits.

I still wanted to see this doctor, I wanted to see what information

I could get out of him but he would not see me. The nurse was very

nice and gave me the name and number of another specialist in tampa,

about 2 hours away.

She said he is the only Rheumatologist she knew of that provides

care for women with implants. They're all scared of getting involved

with lawsuits. She made comments about me starting a lawsuit, like

she was suggesting I needed to. She said it over and over and in

more ways than one. She gave me her number and told me to call her

if things didn't work out with the doctor in Tampa, she said she

could do some research for me.

Well, I don't think all was lost. I feel as though she was saying the

Rheumatologist know implants cause illness, they just don't want to

rat out plastic surgeons. I will try to contact this other doctor in

Tampa and see what happens.

Love you all,
