Or maybe you will. Took Miranda to the doc who is subbing for the Ped. this

week this afternoon...... She has had a big knot on her foot for 3 weeks. I

initially thought it was a bug bite.....the camp people thought it was a bone

sticking out! Anyway, it is a Ganglion cyst (yep, just like my

hand).....funny thing is, the doc offered to drain it, and she said, no way,

my mom passed out when the other doctor did that to her hand! (out of the

mouths of babes.....) AFter that, what could I say but we'll just watch it

for awhile, lol)

While I was there, I made them give her her second MMR and her second Hep B

vaccines, so the trip wasn't totally worthless. I told her she wasn't

allowed to make a scene b/c didnt' even cry when he got his picc

line..... (aren't I a mean mommy?) Anyway, she actually did fine, not even

an ouch, and so now she no longer has fears of shots (taught her to

blow.......) (if you have an 8 yr old, did you realize that somehow 8 yr

olds are in a weird group that didn't get hep B vaccines as babies, and also

didn't have to get MMR before going into Kindergarten? at least thats the

case in our state....odd, huh?)
