Guest guest
Hi Kelli, Mine acts up more at night also. I can't keep my left leg bent, even when laying on my side. If I do then my knew, lower leg and hip just really hurt! Can't lay on my right side because of a bad shoulder. Trying to talk my husband in getting a mattress topper for our bed to help me sleep better. Guest guest
Me, too - I read online that this a common phenomenon. http:// www.fibroself-help.com/public/fibro/ I find that I often wake up in the early morning - 2 or 3 a.m. - and am hurting so much that not only do I have to take more pain meds, but need to lay on the couch instead of in bed, 'cause I can't get comfortable. Guest guest
Hi Bet, My hip, knee (not knew) and lower left leg all throb when my knee is bent too long. Another group said to use the pillow, too. When I put one between my knees on my left side, it still bothers my knee. When I am laying on my back I do put the pillow under my knees. When I was in the hospital often I had several spare pillows to do that. Debbie J > > If it is your hip or back try putting something between > Your knees when you are on your side. Guest guest
I seem to have my best hours of the day from about 1 or 2 hours after I wake up (takes that long to feel better) and it lasts for about 5 hours and I am wiped out again. So I make it to about lunch time usually before I get that all over exhausted aching fibromyalgia rotten feeling. Now, I usually don't really have too much pain at night and sleep pretty good but everytime I wake up from sleeping I feel like crap for a while. (worse than the other times of the day). What meds do you take Kelli? Debra V. Kelli - Neon Rose wrote: Hey all.. Guest guest
You are not the only one that feels this way. I have the same problem. I have gotten to the point where I am going to work, coming home and getting something to eat for supper and then I lay on the couch until it is time for me to go to bed. I do have to take more pain medications in the late afternoon and evening than I do during the day. Guest guest
I always feel worse in the evenings too and usually have to rely on more pain meds at that time. What is it about the sun going down that makes the fibro-monster rear it's ugly head? That just sounded like something out of a horror flick! Guest guest
This was my routine for a couple of years. Now I'm to the point where after two days of this and I totally crash. I'm currently unemployed and getting awfully poor. But, even with no job I'm having problems. I have good days and bad days. I really want an even keel but, well, you know. Guest guest
I think that after working all day long the body just starts to cry out! Mine doesn't like to be up and about that long. It starts going into reject mode. Also, though I do have pain in the day I don't like using pain meds until I can be home and relax or go to bed. HOWEVER, getting up in the morning can be incredibly painful so, I don't know. Guest guest
sorry for pain I stopped cymbalta cuz I got acne like a teen/ then I dug at it looked terrible. My doc is sold on Lexapro he says it helps with my panics attact. No no side effect/ dont know how much it helps/ he said I might need 2 tabs/ it is a 10 milg tab. Been though other stuff with problems, like zings or makes my restlessless legs worse the lexapro I think helps that now I think of it I liked cymbalta/ but I normaly have great skin. I find soma helpful for sleep and muscle spasums, Just my 2 cents. vikki > > > > > > > > > > > I think that after working all day long the body just starts to cry out! > > Mine doesn't like to be up and about that long.
