Guest guest
... Has anyone suggested Prozac to you? That's what I'm on and it really helps to keep me on a more even keel where emotions are concerned. I think it helps with my concentration and I strongly feel it helps me deal with my pain. (Not that it lessens the pain...it just seems to help me to deal with it better.) Annette article Vicki, now that one article is the type I'm looking for. Where did you find it? Could answer some questions and hope they keep researching that possibility. Mike, if we go to visit my sister-in-law, I'll bring you cookies. One recipient of my cookies at Christmas told me they were " evil " , as was the B & B(good booze) he consumed Christmas. Not sure that was a compliment, but I think maybe.... I've been trying to get off the antidepressant Zoloft, even though I've only been on it for perhaps a tiny bit less than 2 months, at a low dose. Having not a good time of it, so took some today. Problem is, it hasn't helped me in any way (that's noticeable) and I didn't take it for 3 days and felt horrid yesterday- slept most of the day and felt weird the time I was awake. Don't feel great when taking it, either. I don't know what to do..... I also want to get off the trazadone and the Ambien for sleep-- have most likely become at least somewhat physically dependent on the Ambien (heck, my doctor simply keeps writing the prescription). If I'm not feeling noticieably better in any way taking these drugs, then why the H should I take them? I still wonder, because I felt good BEFORE I ever started a SSRI antidepressant. , who's not a happy camper and can't even begin to describe how I've been feeling.............. Guest guest
, Could tell by your post, how low you are feeling. I had been on Paxil and then Celexa for anxiety and panic attacks. They were brought on by an evil endocrinologist who had me on way, way, way too much estrogen. You have to be sure and take anti-depressents very consistently. Same dose, same time, every day. Takes up to 4 - 6 weeks to get to the proper amount in your system and you should wean yourself off of them, slowly. Taking 3 days off of them, could of been enough to give you that icky feeling you are having now. Not fun at all! I weaned myself off of Celexa over 2 months time after having been on it for just over a year. I decided it was time to stop taking it when I started to feel a little " funny " about an hour after taking the pill. I always took them at night. The Doctors, and most of what I read, said that that " funny " feeling couldn't happen. " No side effects " , I was told. Guess what? I know when I feel funny. They were wrong. I broke that 20 mg. pill in half and took 10 mg. for about 1 month, then broke that 10 mg. half, in half again and took that for a few more weeks. When it comes to this family of drugs. Consistency is the key. Take care and keep us up to date on how you are doing. I'm worried about you.
